Summary:
Southwest Florida Water
Management District is looking for a Document Services Manager
responsible for information and image management. The Document Services
Manager's key role is to work collaboratively and in an innovative,
technically minded manner, in delivering and maintaining District
documents and records. The manager plays a leadership role in the
District's Enterprise Content Management strategy and implementation,
managing the District's documents and records, with oversight for office
support services, and technical library. Will implement systems
consistent with the District's overall document and records management
needs and objectives. Manages the public records storage, response,
retrieval, and destruction activities. Maintains custody of all
District vital records. Develops policies and procedures related to
records management and implements policies intended to standardize
retention, storage, protection, and retrieval of records, reports, and
other information contained on paper, microfilm, and other media.
The Southwest Florida Water
Management District (SWFWMD) is a public sector agency responsible for
regulation, management, conservation and development of Florida's water
resources in a 16-county area of West Central Florida. SWFWMD employs a
diverse professional and technical staff in areas of water research,
water resource development, data collection and water resource
regulation, including field and data technicians, engineers,
hydrologist, geologists, environmental scientists, chemist, data
analysts, information technology professionals and a variety of related
administrative and support staff.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university with a major in
Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science or
Information Technology or related field and five years' experience in a
management-level position in records management, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience, is required. Knowledge of
electronic data and document management systems and digital imaging
systems is required. Knowledge of records lifecycle management and
related software is required. Certified Records Management (CRM)
certification or other related professional certification is preferred.
Current membership in a records management association such as ARMA,
AIIM, FRMA or other professional association is preferred. Knowledge of
Florida Records Law is preferred.
